The sprung lever design allows the handle to be positioned and angled to provide a comfortable grip and is suitable for all users. The handle has been endurance-tested to 200 000 cycles. This helps ensure that the quality of finish and performance over time. The sprung lever is adjustable to fit a broad range of locks. This is particularly useful in doors that are narrower, where the cylinder is situated further back from the door. Lever Pad

Euro Cylinder

Cylinder locks are typically found on uPVC doors, but they can also be used on other types of doors. The cylinder lock is operated with a key that unlocks the cylinder case. The case is then able to reveal pins that can be aligned with those inside the lock, and permit them to rotate the revolving camera, thereby opening the door. Euro cylinders are available with up to six pins. Internal and external doors require different levels of security.

Choosing the right cylinder is essential; it is contingent on the way your door and handle are utilized. For example, external doors should be fitted with an extra secure cylinder, whilst internal doors can be secured with a standard cylinder. In addition, some cylinders have extra features that can improve security even more, like anti-drill and anti-bump characteristics.

A euro cylinder must be measured correctly to ensure it's the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the central fixing screw hole to each end of the cylinder, including the thumb turn if you have one. It is best to do this with the lock in place however when this isn't possible, you may remove it to take measurements. A cylinder that protrudes beyond the handle and escutcheon might be susceptible to attacks like lock snapping, so it is essential that it is not too long.

Most modern cylinders are constructed with anti-drill and bump resistance features included in their design. These are designed to reduce attacks by forcing cylinders to rotate in a new direction. This can to deflect attacks and protect your door.

Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a common occurrence on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the lock's break line and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is faster and more straightforward than opening multipoint locks. It also leaves no evidence of a break-in which could hinder an insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

The spring cassette is located within the base of your door handle's backplate, providing a spring solution to return your multipoint lock handles to their original position after usage. There was a time when handles didn't have a spring built into them and without this they tend to droop or 'drop' once the locking mechanism has been disengaged. This simple component is the best way to address this issue. It also helps prevent your door from becoming stuck in either the closed or open position, as they aren't easy to close manually.

These spring cassettes are specially designed to be used with multipoint locks that are sprung They will not work with non-sprung multipoint handles. You must have a hole specifically cut in your backplate to allow these to fit (please see image for technical diagram). They are a replacement for broken or Double Glazing Window Handle missing cassettes within the backplate of the door handle for many brands of uPVC doors. They are available as one unit. They come with a square cut out that accommodates an 8mm shaft.
